All Teaching Tots Things activities require adult supervision

Grayson chowed down before I could eat lunch so I threw this activity together in 30 seconds so I could eat my lunch without a rush 🙌🏻

Fid you know fine motor skills are crucial for children’s development? They lay the foundation for tasks like writing, buttoning clothes, and tying shoes. By engaging in activities that strengthen these skills, such as building with blocks, threading beads, and coloring, kids not only improve their dexterity and hand-eye coordination but also enhance their cognitive abilities and focus.

This activity was a simple empty milk jug and some paper straws but pom poms or Q tips would have worked too. Just make sure you are keeping a close eye on them ☺️

Fine motor play isn’t just about mastering tasks—it’s about building confidence and independence. As children manipulate objects and refine their movements, they gain a sense of accomplishment and learn to tackle challenges with perseverance.

So, let’s encourage our kids to get hands-on with fine motor play every day! Whether it’s squeezing playdough, playing in a sensory bin, or using tweezers to pick up small objects, every activity is a step toward their future success. 💪🎨
