Emma (3m) is really loving sounds lately so I had big sister Briella help me make a shaker full of colored rice. The rice was already colored from the kids using it in a sensory bin earlier. Briella and I actually made this together. She loved the idea that she was making an "activity" for Emma.

MATERIALS

-empty bottle (this one is from Walmart)

-dry rice (colored optional)

-funnel (optional but makes it easier)


CONNECT

-Sing a nursery rhyme while shaking the bottle-this is a really fun way for older siblings to get involved

-Shake the bottle on one side encouraging your child to find the sound and then switch to the other side
